Alpha Estate

Alpha Estate, located in the heart of the Amyndeon Appellation in Northwest Greece, is surrounded by stunning views of Petron and Vegoritida lakes, the Nimfeon village, and nearby ski resorts. Its 600+ metre altitude, proximity to lakes, sandy low-fertility soils, and a scientifically designed single-block vineyard create a unique terroir for crafting complex, multidimensional wines.

Founded by 2nd-generation vine-grower Makis Mavridis and Bordeaux-trained winemaker Angelos Iatridis, Alpha Estate combines respect for nature, eco-friendly practices, and expert craftsmanship to produce wines of exceptional quality and typicity.

Their dedication has earned recognition, including being listed in Wine & Spirit Magazine's Best 100 Wineries in 2014, 2019, 2021, and 2022, and being named Wine Enthusiast’s European Winery of the Year in 2020.
