Wine Art Estate

Wine Art Estate was founded by civil engineer Yannis Papadopoulos and architect Yannis Kalaitzidis, who combined their expertise and passion for winemaking to create something extraordinary. What began in 1993 as a small family vineyard in Mikrochori quickly grew when Kalaitzidis joined the venture in 1995. Their first range of wines, Techni Alipias—a red, white, and rosé—was met with immediate acclaim, establishing Wine Art Estate as a leader in quality winemaking.

Focusing on how Greek and international varieties thrive in Drama’s unique microclimate, the estate introduced the Idisma Drios line in 1999, starting with Chardonnay and expanding to Assyrtiko, Merlot, and Syrah. In exceptional years, limited quantities of Nebbiolo are also crafted. Wine Art Estate remains dedicated to producing innovative and meticulously crafted wines that reflect the character of their terroir.
