The story of Ouzo MINI began in 1889, when tavern owners in the narrow streets of Mytilene started distilling a unique blend of alcohol and aniseed ethereal oils in copper pots, using the finest herbs from Lesvos. As the air filled with the fragrant aroma of herbs, the rich history of Ouzo MINI was born, rooted in the island’s deep distilling tradition.
In 1967, the first official chapter of the Association of Mytilene Distilleries (EPOM) was written. Seventeen local manufacturers came together, united by a shared vision to bring their beloved Ouzo MINI to the world. This collaboration marked the beginning of a successful journey, with EPOM continuing the legacy of craftsmanship and passion for ouzo production. Today, EPOM stands as one of Greece's largest ouzo manufacturers, preserving a tradition of expertise and dedication passed down through generations.
