Region: Amyndeon Viticulture Zone.
Vineyard: Linear, privately owned vineyard at an altitude of 620 - 710m / 2035 - 2330ft.
Block location & Data: Single Block “Latipes”, 1,7ha, 40°41’17.58”N, 21°42’41.32”E., Amyndeon plateau, at 645m / 2.116ft., with south exposure.
Soil: Sandy clay loamy soil, over gravel limestone conglomerates, of adequate drainage.
Climate: Semi continental with satisfactory rainfalls, significant snow- falls and warm, dry summer with fresh nights. Frequent north-west winds, absent of spring frost.
Age of Vines: Planted in 2007.
Trellis System: Linear (Single Cordon VSP).
Viticulture: Certified Sustainable.
Harvest: Manual harvesting in 15 kg capacity picking baskets.
Yield: 0,85 kg/m of active canopy. 33 HL/ha, post to green harvest & selection.
Density of Plantation: 6.000 shoots / ha.
Vinification Method and Maturation: Destemming, optical grape sorting, and light crushing. Skin contact under inert atmosphere at low temperature, semi-controlled alcoholic fermentation by indigenous flora from the specific block, in fine grain, white toasted Nevers oak, paired with GreekRobolo tun of 75hl with regular stirring on fine lees for 9 months.
Tasting Characteristics: Crystal, bright light-yellow straw color. Intense, rich nose, typical of the variety, with floral, white stone fruit and hints of citrus. The wood is subtle, giving priority to the fruit. Full body, creamy, with excellent balance, freshness, and finesse. Vibrant and persistent aftertaste.
