"This is a detailed xinomavro from northern Greece. This grape is very much like the nebbiolo of Piedmont, aka Barolo and Barbaresco, so expect the pale in colour with ruby-garnet colour. The nose is very pretty with hints of rose around pomegranate-blueberry fruit and some herbal notes. Wood is in the background. It is medium bodied, quite firm but not austere, with considerable (expected) crusty tannin of xinomavro. The focus and length are excellent. Best 2025 to 2030. Tasted Dec 2023"
