Description
Description
The Cattier Blanc de Noirs is made from a 100% Pinot blend. This champagne, made primarily from Pinot Meunier grown on the Montagne de Reims, is the embodiment of classical champagne and Cattier’s house style. The large proportion of older wine and long stay in the cellar gives this champagne a remarkable aromatic complexity.
75% Pinot Noir
25% Meunier
40% Reserve Wines
Eyes
This champagne is a pale golden colour with fine, elegant bubbles running up through the glass.
Nose
It opens with great freshness and aromas of exotic mango, apricot, orange, and also hints of blackcurrant, blackberry, and blueberry. These are enriched by notes of pepper, gingerbread, pastry, vanilla, and hazelnut.
Palate
Round, silky and well-structured on the palate, with aromas of blackberry and plum. These aromas lead onto rich strawberry, milk chocolate, and blonde tobacco notes, before ending on a long finish dominated by sour cherry and hazelnut.
Food Pairings
The Blanc de Noirs Premier Cru would be ideal paired with a beetroot or avocado starter. It also works well with game in a tart berry sauce, poultry in cream, and would be the ideal partner to a Paris Brest or sweet tart.
