ORIGIN
Tsipouro of KIR-YIANNI Estate is produced from selected grapes of the Xinomavro variety, which is the base for this grape-distilled spirit. Malagousia and Sauvignon Blanc grapes are also used to enhance the aromatic character of Tsipouro. All the varieties are sourced from vineyards in Northern Greece.
DISTILLATION
Tsipouro KIR-YIANNI is produced from the pomace of grapes, the winepress's residue. Distillation takes place in a one-tone copper for 1.5 hours, which helps to clear the grape spirit of any unpleasant phenolic compounds. After the end of the distillation, the pomace is separated so to keep only the purest part from the distillation. No anise is added.
TASTING NOTES
