Clos du Moulin Brut Premier Cru

Covering just 2.2 hectares, the Clos du Moulin is one of Champagne’s two historic walled vineyards and is located on the sunny slopes of the Montagne de Reims near Chigny-les-Roses. The expert team at Cattier has taken three vintages, selected for their ability to age gracefully, and blended them into a wine which reflects their unique origins. 

50% Pinot Noir
50% Chardonnay

Eyes
Bright in colour with a subtle patina of age. The bubbles are extremely fine.

Nose
A generous and expressive bouquet with intense notes of white peach, melon, wild strawberry, blackcurrant, apple, passion fruit, mango, redcurrant and lychee. Fresh aromas are layered with fig and rhubarb jam and conclude with delicate hints of vanilla and cinnamon.

Palate
Vibrant and energetic, opening with citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit. The aromatic persistence develops into creamy nuances of raspberry, fresh white fruit and pineapple, accented by touches of passion fruit. The finish is beautifully long with flavours of caramelised pear and toasted hazelnuts.

Food Pairings
Clos du Moulin Brut Premier Cru is an exceptional champagne that pairs beautifully with fish served with light and airy sauces. It also complements younger, floral tomme cheeses and is an ideal partner for fruit tarts or refined ice creams.
