TASTING NOTES
Walking through an old country vineyard, the winemaker Jose Ignacio Maturana stumbled upon the San Francisco grapes. Known as the Negramoll grape in the Canary Islands, the San Francisco grapes must have arrived in Chile with the Spanish conquerors. It is less tannic than its Spanish counterpart and has a heavy fruit dose. He decided to vinify them separately to make this wine a delight of freshness and ideal for quenching a summer thirst. As a separate fact, San Francisco always had a triple purpose: as a table grape, as a wine grape and as a grape for distillation.
