Anestis Babatzimopoulos is a charismatic figure in the Greek wine industry, known for his storytelling and passionate advocacy for Greece’s world-class wine potential. His artisanal ouzo, tsipouro, brandy, and mono-varietal apostagma (grappa) rival the finest globally. Building on his family tradition, Babatzimopoulos has opened a new winery in Ossa, set at 600 meters on a south-facing slope. The facility includes a distillery using original stills and space for a living museum celebrating the region’s cultural and artistic heritage.
