KretaRaki Tsikoudia is a traditional Cretan alcoholic drink made from distilled selected grapes. In the area of Kato Asites, in the province of Maleviziou, the morphology of the ground with its layers of clay soils, the abundance of Cretan sunlight in combination with the mild Mediterranean climate, creates the most suitable conditions for the cultivation of vineyards. After the harvesting of grapes and fermentation comes the magical moment of distillation. It is the time when the fermented grapes simmer gently in copper stills.
