Papaioannou

Estate Papaioannou, founded by Thanasis Papaioannou, was one of the pioneers in recognizing the importance of preserving a wine's unique characteristics. His son, George, a chemist and oenologist, continues the family tradition, working passionately both in the vineyards and at the modern winery in Ancient Nemea, located in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece. The family owns private vineyards in several Nemea locations, where they cultivate carefully selected grape varieties in harmony with the surrounding ecosystem. Committed to sustainable practices, Papaioannou Winery has been organically farming since 2004, certified by the state-controlled DIO and more recently achieving USDA NOP organic certification.
